- Petrified Paul and Muskrat Margaret created a Family Heritage Book and gave one to each family
- STEICAMP was delayed from 1977 to 1982 due to the energy crisis where long lines at the gas station were common. It was voted to hold STEICAMP every 2 years, in even numbered years, at STEICAMP 1982.
- STEICAMP 1982 was one of the rainiest STEICAMP ever

- Monday: Opening Campfire
- Tuesday: Local activities day (rafting, sightseeing, etc.)
- Wednesday: Family Dinner
- Thursday: Family photos, Horseshoe tournament, Kids Activities & Closing Campfire
- Friday: Pancake Breakfast (prepared by men)
